Get Ready to Rock: Nickelback Hits Vancouver Island This Weekend

Life moves fast—why not spend it with a little more music, a lot more energy, and a weekend you won’t forget? This Friday, August 9, Vancouver Island becomes a rock haven as Nickelback, Sam Roberts Band, and The Glorious Sons take over the Laketown Amphitheatre in Lake Cowichan.

A Powerhouse Lineup of Canadian Rock

Picture this: the sun setting over Vancouver Island while three of Canada’s most iconic rock acts light up the stage. If that sounds like your kind of Friday, you’re in luck.

The evening kicks off at 4 p.m. sharp with the always-energetic Sam Roberts Band, known for their feel-good anthems and unforgettable live shows. Next up at 5 p.m., The Glorious Sons take things to new heights with their gritty vocals and heart-pounding sound.

And finally—drumroll, please—Nickelback brings it home at 7 p.m., marking their debut performance at the venue. Hailing from Hanna, Alberta, they’ll be the first ever to headline the newly built, permanent Laketown Amphitheatre stage.

It’s More Than a Concert—It’s a Rock Revival

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just love a good live show, this event promises more than just great music. It’s a full-on celebration of Canadian rock. With three chart-topping bands sharing one stage, you’ll experience nostalgia, new sounds, and an electric atmosphere all in one night.

Even if you’ve heard these bands a hundred times before, nothing compares to hearing them live—surrounded by fellow fans, fresh air, and good vibes.

Limited Tickets Left—Here’s How to Get Yours

If you’re thinking it might be too late—think again. While most tickets were snatched up fast, a limited number are still available, and there’s even a waitlist option for select sections.

To snag your spot or join the list, head over to laketownamphitheatre.frontgatetickets.com.

One Night. Three Bands. Endless Energy.

Whether you’re chasing nostalgia or looking for a night out filled with sound, lights, and high-voltage performances—this is the weekend to do it. Grab your friends, your ticket, and maybe even your old band tee. Friday’s about to rock.
