The incident took place shortly after 9 p.m., prompting an immediate emergency response. The northbound lane of 176th Street was closed for several hours as crews worked to manage the scene and extract the vehicle from the ditch.
Driver Extricated by Surrey Fire Rescue
According to an eyewitness and Black Press Media freelancer at the scene, emergency responders, including Surrey Fire’s Technical Rescue Team, had to extricate the driver from the submerged vehicle. The driver received on-site medical attention before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
