Some varieties contain up to 4 grams of salt per 100 grams, pushing people over the recommended daily limit of 6 grams. Pipe Bomb, Weapons Found in Surrey Tenant’s Room After Eviction

A man in Surrey is under investigation after police found a pipe bomb, weapons, and ammunition in a room he previously occupied in a Newton home. The alarming discovery followed a wellness check on May 29, 2025, after a pharmacist and landlord expressed concerns about the evicted tenant, identified as Chan. Despite his eviction in March, Chan’s belongings—including explosives and weapons—remained in the house. Police obtained a search warrant and called in the bomb squad after confirming the presence of an improvised explosive device. Chan, already on probation for a prior assault conviction, has been charged with breaching his probation. The investigation remains ongoing as police consider further charges.
