A young child was fatally struck by a vehicle on Sunday evening, July 13, in the 13800 block of 64 Avenue in Surrey, B.C. Emergency services responded swiftly, but despite life-saving efforts by paramedics, the child was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the location and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation by Surrey Police Service. Roads in the area were closed for several hours as authorities conducted a thorough collision analysis. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward and assist in the investigation.
