Acclaimed Canadian singer, actor, and author Jane Mortifee will take the stage in White Rock on Saturday, August 17, for a highly anticipated live concert presented by Peninsula Productions. The performance will be held at the company’s black box theatre in Centennial Park (14600 North Bluff Rd.).

Concert Details and Ticket Availability

While the 2 p.m. matinee show has already sold out through early access to subscribers, limited tickets remain for the 7 p.m. evening concert. Tickets are priced at $42.48 and can be purchased at peninsulaproductions.org.

A Veteran Artist With Decades of Influence

Mortifee has been a mainstay in Canada’s performing arts scene for over 45 years, with a career that spans theatre, film, television, and music. Her voice has been featured in countless jingles and recordings, and she has shared the stage with global icons including David Foster, Tom Jones, Paul Anka, John Denver, and Ray Charles.

Her accolades include three Jessie Award nominations, a Westcoast Music Award nomination, and her 2002 induction into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame. She has also released three solo albums and continues to write fiction, with her debut novel Out of the Fire currently available on Amazon.

On Stage with Sample and Cooper

Joining Mortifee for the performance are acclaimed Vancouver musicians Bill Sample and Darlene Cooper. Sample, a sought-after keyboardist and musical director, has worked extensively with David Foster, while Cooper has gained recognition as a jazz, soul, and gospel singer, as well as a respected choral director and educator.

The musical couple met through the Marcus Mosely Chorale, where their mutual love of harmony and rhythm led to collaborations on numerous original and cover songs. Together, they have released two albums featuring their own arrangements and compositions.

Blending Music, Literature, and Wellness

Beyond her artistic ventures, Mortifee has led yoga and creative writing retreats in international locations including Guatemala, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Scotland, and Mexico. She continues to blend wellness and creativity, even while working on her second novel.

How to Attend

The 7 p.m. concert promises a soulful, genre-blending evening with one of Canada’s most respected artists. With seating limited, early booking is recommended. Tickets and more information are available at: peninsulaproductions.org/project/jane-mortifee
