In an official statement on July 20, SPS media relations officer Sgt. Tige Pollock confirmed the details. “There was minor damage to a service vehicle and no injuries to any members or the public,” he said via email.

The investigation remains ongoing. Sgt. Pollock noted that further information cannot be disclosed at this stage. If the inquiry determines that the officer committed misconduct under the Police Act, disciplinary measures may be applied accordingly, depending on the findings.
