Surrey Fusion Festival Earns Back-to-Back Global Honors
The Surrey Fusion Festival is once again making international headlines, winning two prestigious awards for the second year in a row. Celebrated as one of Canada’s most vibrant multicultural events, the festival recently took home the 2025 Gala Award for Most Outstanding Spectacle, Fair, or Festival by Special Events Magazine. It also earned the ILEA Esprit Award for Best Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative from the International Live Events Association’s Vancouver Chapter.
Both accolades shine a spotlight on Surrey’s rising global status in hosting meaningful, inclusive public events that resonate far beyond city lines.
A Festival That Reflects a City’s Soul
“Surrey Fusion Festival is a powerful reflection of our city’s diverse and dynamic community,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. She emphasized the importance of celebrating multiculturalism and the unity it brings.
Each year, the festival attracts thousands of visitors to Holland Park. It features over 50 cultural pavilions, eight stages packed with music and dance, and a rich mix of international cuisines.
Since its debut in 2008, the event has now won 16 major awards, both nationally and internationally. These recognitions are not just trophies — they reflect the passion and unity behind the festival’s continued success.
Coast Capital and Community Support
Long-time partner Coast Capital reaffirmed its commitment to the festival, praising it as a space where people of all ages can discover global cultures. Mauro Manzi, Chief Commercial, Retail & Wealth Officer, said the event aligns with their mission of building better futures and fostering inclusivity in Canada.
Support like this, combined with strong local engagement, has helped the festival evolve into a beloved annual tradition that brings people closer through culture, food, and art.
